Why Homeowners Call Us

A shingle roof is only as good as its install.

Shingles are the most affordable roof in the Valley, but they’re also the easiest to install badly. Skimp on the underlayment, nail them wrong, or ignore the flashing and you’ve got a roof that curls and leaks years early in our heat.

We install to manufacturer spec — proper underlayment, correct nailing, new flashing — so your shingle roof gets the full life and warranty it’s rated for. Three generations on Valley roofs means we do it the way that lasts.

What’s Included

A shingle roof done to last.

Full tear-off

Old shingles stripped to the deck and hauled off — never a new layer nailed over failing shingles to trap heat.

Deck inspection & repair

With the shingles off, we check the decking for rot and soft spots and repair it before the new roof goes on.

New underlayment

Fresh synthetic underlayment and ice-and-water protection where it matters — not the bare minimum.

New flashing & valleys

New flashing at walls, chimneys, and valleys, and properly built valleys — the spots cheap re-roofs get wrong.

Architectural shingles

Dimensional architectural shingles in a range of colors — far more durable and better-looking than old 3-tab strips.

Manufacturer warranty

Installed to spec so your shingles qualify for the full manufacturer warranty — registered in your name.

SHINGLE IN THE SUN

Phoenix heat is hard on shingles.

Roof surfaces here hit 150 to 170 degrees in July, and UV cooks the oils out of asphalt. That’s why 3-tab shingles last closer to 15 years in the Valley and architectural shingles closer to 20 to 25. Attic ventilation matters as much as the shingle: a hot attic cooks a roof from underneath. We fix both.

WHAT IT COSTS

Architectural, almost every time.

An architectural shingle roof runs about $550 per square, or $11,000 to $16,500 on a typical Valley home. Architectural costs a few hundred dollars more than 3-tab on most roofs, and buys you years of life plus a better wind rating for monsoon season. We tear off to the deck. We never lay new shingles over old ones.

Common Questions

What homeowners ask first.

How long does a shingle roof last in Phoenix?+
About 15 years for 3-tab and 20 to 25 for architectural. Heat and UV shorten shingle life here compared to cooler climates.
How much does a shingle roof cost?+
About $550 per square, or $11,000 to $16,500 on a typical Valley home.
Can you put new shingles over my old ones?+
We don’t. An overlay traps heat, hides deck damage, and can void the manufacturer warranty. We tear off to the deck every time.
Do shingles hold up in monsoon wind?+
Architectural shingles with the right nailing pattern and wind rating do. Most monsoon blow-offs we see are 3-tab or under-nailed roofs.
Are cool-rated shingles worth it?+
On a home with a hot attic, often yes. They lower roof-deck temperature, but good ventilation matters more.
